You can rent all your ski and snowboard gear from Virgin Islands Ski Rentals in Silverthorne, CO, located just 20 minutes from Arapahoe Basin. We’re right off I-70 Exit 205 — the perfect stop to gear up before heading up Highway 6 to the mountain.
We offer complete rental packages for every level of skier and rider — beginner, intermediate, and performance setups. Each package includes skis or snowboard, boots, and poles. Helmet rentals are also available, but we do not rent clothing or outerwear.
Yes and you should! Booking online is the easiest and cheapest way to secure your gear before you arrive. Simply choose your rental dates and equipment type. Online reservations also qualify for exclusive discounts.
We’re about 20 minutes (roughly 13 miles) from A-Basin via US-6 E. Our central Silverthorne location makes it easy to grab your gear before heading directly up the pass to the resort.
Yes. Walk-ins are always welcome, and we do our best to get every guest fitted quickly. However, during weekends and powder days, we recommend reserving ahead to avoid delays.
We stock top brands such as Rossignol, Salomon, Burton, and K2, among others. All equipment is freshly tuned and waxed for optimal performance — whether you’re carving groomers or exploring the legendary Beavers terrain.
Yes! We carry a full range of children’s skis, snowboards, and boots for ages 3 and up. Family packages are available for convenience and savings, and our friendly staff makes fitting easy for every member of your group.
Every ski package includes poles, boots, and skis. Every snowboard package includes boots and snowboards. Helmet rentals are an additional cost, but we highly recommend them for every customer. You can also rent these items individually if you already have your own skis or board.
Yes — evening pickup is available at no additional charge after 4 PM. It’s a great way to save time in the morning and be among the first on the lifts at A-Basin.

We understand that sometimes plans change unexpectedly, and you no longer need a reservation for winter sports equipment. We require a deposit on the day you reserve the gear, but we are happy to cancel your reservation and refund the deposit if we are notified in advance. Call us at least 48 hours prior to your reservation to have your deposit refunded. We can still cancel the reservation within 48 hours of pickup, but we will not be able to refund your deposit without advance notice.
If you are taking a ski lesson that starts in the morning or want to be on the lifts when they start turning, we recommend you come and pick up your equipment at least the night before. Mornings are our biggest rush with everyone trying to pick up their equipment right before the lifts start turning. If you have more time in the morning, come in at 10 AM or after and the morning rush should be over.
Any damage that occurs to the equipment will be covered. Loss or theft is not covered.
When your reservation has ended, simply stop by our store to return your rental equipment. We will examine the rental equipment to ensure it is still in good condition and sanitize it before renting it out to someone else.
